Hey Camo93, It was still a pretty small file, but I think it's pretty obvious it's a Grizzly.

After lookin` at that last pic, to me it looks more like a hog now, just as WTM45 said. And is that sunlight glintin` of the back of a few more back behind it?

It is a Gobbler with his head tucked in, he is semi strutting, you can see his head (the red and white in it) and he tail feathers are halfway back, and his flying feathers are slightly touching the ground. I made it bigger on paint, but I can't get it to upload

Looking at the ears in the second pic,I would say bear. It's carrying a lot of weight in the hips to be a pig........It also looks as if his right front leg is "bowed"out in the manner of a bear.........He may be a transient male,we have seen them in wikinson, one was killed in Jasper, and there have been game cam picks of them in hancock too,so it's not much of a stretch that he may be passin' thru.......

If it was a bear, I'd say the odds were very good that your feeder would not have been left in the upright position.

Other than that, I'd say it is a bear!

Or a pig!

Or a big beaver!

Or a big black dog!

Or a very fat, black panther!

I believe it's a thick hog.

Unless that tripod is a whole lot taller than it appears, that would be a mighty short bear. A bear that short would obviously be a cub, and would not carry the thickness across the back that this one appears to.

It's a hog.

its a bear... its butt is higher than its head its ear are definatly not a hogs and if you've never seen bears or hogs its more likely its a bear, hungry bears can range hundreds of miles in there lifetime

T-Bird
12-14-2008, 06:07 PM
its a bear its butt is to high and its head is to small to be a hog plus you can clearly see its ears and them aint the ears of a hog not 1 i have ever seen and i have seen alot of hogs!

The original picture is to low of a resolution to really use any Photoshop tools to extract layers that aren’t needed. If you have the original and what to upload the picture in high resolution I will be able to blow it up and remove the branch in front of the head, the leaves on the ground, etc.

Its hard to tell. My first impression was bear.

Hog?
Legs look to thick at the bottom
Ears dont look right
Its skull appears to round down to the neck.

arich_5
01-04-2009, 10:53 AM
The head is too small in relation to the body to be a hog. I'd go with a wombat or tasmanian devil...google it.

its head is to thin to be a bear besides if it were a bear your feeder would be turned over its not a hog because its ears ar too small it looks like a big cat to be honest.

They eye sees what the mind wants it to see. I would take the opinions of people who are familiar with the area.... personally I see either a turkey or a very oddly shaped bear.

For those saying the rear is higher than it's head point toward the photo viewer, it may be coming slightly down hill with head & rear about the same height.

I'm leaning towards those saying it looks like a small bear.
