Went back to the spot where my wife and son doubled on Saturday morning this afternoon to try an afternoon hunt. Haven't had much luck hunting evenings, though I hear it is very productive. Set up and yelped a few times and just waited. Heard drumming, looked up, and here he came. Shot him at 20 yards. Total elapsed time of hunt: 17 minutes. It was just his time. This was the other bird that came in with the two my wife and son shot. He had a 9"beard and 3/4" spurs. Great hunt.
