killed my biggest turkey ever....3rd one this season

I'm having a awesome season to say the least! i shot my biggest turkey ever monday morning, had my choice of 2 fine birds at fly down...watched 3 gobblers for 15 minutes gobbling on the ground at some hens in the bottom to my left and the gobblers were to my right and i watched them run the jake around a couple times and then waited as long as i could before i shot the bigger one which ended up having a 12" beard and as big around as a beer bottle to boot. Shot him at 43 steps dropped him where he stood and I let the other big one go which had what appeared to be around 10-11" beard and the other was a jake. I ended up chasing the other big one for 2 days got within about 50 yards of him but blew it as we were in a pasture and he had me in the wide open and he eased out the back door on me! Mine i killed only had 1" spurs and was feeling kind of light looks like he had been doing alot of chasing of the ladies i suppose.
I have shot 2 others the 2 weeks before...1 in fla and the other in Georgia and they both had 9" beards and also 1 1/8" spurs. I used decoys and light calling for these 2 birds but the 12" bird i didn't call one time and used no decoys...i had lady luck on my side as i set up perfect with me being between the gobblers and the hens for once, i knew there were hens around just wasn't sure which end the gobblers would be coming from or if they would come at all at fly down as they come from several directions at that spot and at different times....i just tried something different and it payed off big and boy was i in turkey heaven or cloud nine.
I'll try to post some pics soon...just dropped him off to the taxidermist...gonna do him on a limb gobbling.

the biggest weighed only 17-18lbs and the 2 9" birds both weighed around 20-21lbs.
