Dont feel bad richard I had a bad day sat. too. I had a big doe come in right at dark at 30 yds. When I drew back on her I didnt see the little one with her, it was behind my tree and it picked me like a buggar. It blew and screwed my concentration up and when I got back on the big doe she was on major alert. She had walked about 5 more yds and stopped. I didnt see the small limb in front of her and I shot. I shoot lumanoks and saw the red laser headed right for her lungs. Just befor impact the arrow kicked up hard and I thought I missed completly. When I recovered my arrow, there was a little blood on the broadhead and a lot of blood on the ground. After a half mile, 3 hr. track I finally gave up. Good luck! At least you got meat in the freezer, all I got was a bad case of chiggers!
