Info on Tikka Rifles

Anybody got any info on Tikka rifles besides the fact that they are imported by Beretta? I have heard that they are a very straight shooter right out of the box but I do not know anyone who owns one. Any info is greatly appreciated.

They offer a guarantee of MOA groups at 100 yds right out of the box..... And the MSRP starts at $525.

Don't know anyone who has one, but that guarantee (and price) is pretty strong.

I bought one last year in 7mag and absolutely love it...
Light weight, very smooth action and good trigger from
the factory...Mine likes heavier bullets (150-160) over
lighter ones...Has a 9.5 to 1 twist....Mine would shoot
140gr bullets about 1" or slightly bigger and 150gr a bit
smaller...I handload 160gr HPs and can get them 1" and
under when I really try....Only have about 150 rounds
thru it so far, and I don't think the barrel is really broken in
yet....
With more effort handloading, lighter trigger pull, and a better
scope, I believe I can improve accuracy a bit more, but it is
more than adequate as it is now...I have a good hunting load,
and it will knock the snot out of a deer....VERY short tracking
trails...

I special ordered it from Wal-Mart...Took about 1 week,
and about $425.00 out the door.....Find a Wally World that
still has guns, and see if you can order yourself one....
I gurantee you will not be sorry....

My wife bought a T3 Lite 7mm-08 for herself & decided it did not fit right & gave it to me.

150gr Remy's are okay about 2" @ 100yrds, 139gr Hornady Light Magnum about 1.75" @ 100 yrds I haven't tried much else with it as I already have a Wetherby Vanguard 7mm-08 & a Marlin .44Mag short barrel lever gun.

Sweet, smooth action & trigger. FWIW you can adjust the trigger pull w/ the supplied allen wrench.

Ive got one in 300 wsm and really like it. You might be able to find some deals out there..they just discontinued the t3 deluxe models...which means distributors blow em out to get rid of them

The laminate/ss is a good lookin gun also.

I have the T3 in .270. Best gun in my safe as far as cartridge guns I own. And I have a few. Just don't use it, I prefer to hunt with my Omega.

I have an older model Tikka Whitetail Hunter that is the most accurate rifle I own. Super smooth action and looks great too.

Great group Badger....Do you handload ???
What Caliber.....

I am not quite to that level with my 7mag so far, but just under
an inch off a good rest...Using a lead sled now, but it just does
not have the overall adjustability to really fine tune your aiming
point very easily...

I have a T-3 in .243 Win. It is one of my best shooting rifles. It is also the only bolt action I own that I haven't had to replace the trigger with a Timney.

I do handload. That group was with Barnes 130 grn TSX's. 270 Win. Who says a hunting bullet can't be accurate?:)
I use Re-19 with CCI primers.

Sakos do have good barrells...Main reason I bought one...
Had a buddy at our club for a few years with a Hunter 75 in
270 Winchester with 140gr handloaded stuff, and that darn thing
would shoot the same hole at 100yds....Most accurate rifle I have
ever seen.....

Got My Tikka today. 7mm, Nikon scope and one he** of a deal!! Sighting it in tommorrow, any suggestions with regard to the best bullets to use to get the tightest pattern? And by the way, thanks for the input!

I tried 140 and 150 grs when I bought mine, just to get an idea
of how it would shot with factory ammo, and to get it sighted in...
2 boxes of each...
I handload and wanted to use a 160gr hollow point, so I worked
up a load using a Sierra HPBT bullet....
Good Luck...

Shot one some 30 years ago

They carried the Ithaca name. What a group the owner & I both shot with 180gr RN, 30-06.

He wanted to sell it when he found the real manufacturer, was foreign and carried the name Tikka.

I came that close to getting that rifle at a great price.

Sanity ruled with the groups he got. His father was a non-hunting WWII European vet.

Got to hunt yeaterday morning with the new Tikka. All thathas been said is true. Saw some small bucks that I let walk but the doe that stepped out at about 160 yards fell and never moved again. Hit exactly where I aimed. Thanks for the input on the gun!
