We saw several bucks this weekend including a large 8 point, a wide 6 point, a basket 8, and a spike. However, none of them were chasing, they seemed to be what I would call cruising. All of these bucks were moving right around daylight and dusk. These are the first non-yearling bucks we've seen this year. Will be going up next weekend for a long weekend. Should set up nicely with the peak of the rut. Oh, btw, we hunt in Jones county.

My dad, buddy, and I hunted Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, without a whole lot of action. Rained hard Friday morning and this gave way to a heat wave Friday afternoon. None of us saw anything on Friday. On Saturday my buddy saw a spike around 12:00pm. I saw one yearling doe around 5:00pm. Didn't see a thing this morning, but my dad saw five(does and yearlings) and my buddy saw a five point following a doe. I think the deer are still around, but with all this wind they sure weren't moving much. Only heard eight to ten shots all weekend. :(

Monroe Co,Shot a good deer this evening good sign on the arrow will follow up in the AM. In the past two weeks the deer movement has been slow real early and real late, seen some good Bucks though. lots of rubs but hardly any Scrapes. This is my last deer for the year you guys have fun.

i hunt off of Bass Rd, on New Forsyth Rd, where there is a lot of new construction going on. Last 7 years, usually see 5-20 deer in morning, 5-10 during evening hunts.....this year, saw 9 all year since opening o fbow season, until Monday before last. Deer finally started moving during the chill spell, saw 6 deer Monday, 11-15, and 4 deer Tuesday, 11-16, went back this morning, 11-25, too warm, windy, and rainy....no deer, slept like a baby....waiting on friday morning, supposed to be 34 degrees. Maybe I'll see my 135" 8 pointer from last year. I'm hunting 4 deer i know are at least Pope & Young, One possibly 145" or better......saw him opening day of bow season with not enough shooting light, along with 110" or so 8 pointer i passed. Hopefully It'll get like last year.....saw 23 deer in one morning during prime rut....shot a 19" 8 pointer

Sorry to be so late - but in Jones Co. on the 14th of Nov I observed 3 bucks slam-hard chasing one hot doe. Arrowed one of the bucks - a solid nine - maybe 110 class. Haven't seen any hard-core chasing in Bibb - just a couple bucks following behind.
Hey, KCausey, my best ever buck came not far from where it sounds like you might be hunting. There are some beasts in those woods.

Hunted this eve in Jones Co. - near Haddock. Saw two does - mom and yearling - right at dark. My bud saw nothing. Was super calm - as quiet as I've ever heard - or not heard. Seeing more and more tracks in the food plots.
