There should be no limit to it's POTENTIAL accuracy.
That said, there could also be the chance of so-so accuracy due to variables such as scope, ammo, shooter, or even the possibility of a bad barrel.
All things considered, I'd say the odds are in your favor.
With it's intended purpose you may want to consider a couple of things. First, I don't think recoil from a .223 will be an issue, however, the shorter barrel would actually add a little recoil. More importantly is that the shorter barrel will increase the loudness of the muzzleblast due to it being closer to the shooter. If you prepare him for the noise you probably won the battle.
