and it rip a big old hole in the sidewall of your tire? Had it happen this weekend on I-20. About 5 minutes later the tire was flat and it had a chunk missing out of the side (looked like somebody shot it with a deer rifle). Just curious.

Hunt/fish safely,

Ran over something on GA-400 one day. The tire instantly blew out. When I took it the tire store they said they found what they thougth was a chicken bone. It must have been a bone from the road kill.

It was a pretty big animal- not sure if was a deer or a big dawg because it was pretty late (about 9 pm) and we was traveling about 80 mph. The tire held up for about 5 minutes and then blew up. It was the right rear, if you can believe that. Just lucky to be alive and not wrecked.

Tim,
I'm sure your the roadkill king of us all!!!
I've run over a cat, raccoon, 2 squirrels, screech owl, numerous song birds, and that's about it.
Had a deer run into me one time and knock itself silly. She was wobbling down the road like a dirt road drunk!!! Also had another little screech owl fly into my door one time. I was only putting along at about 15mph. He knocked himself silly too!! I picked him up and petted him for a few minutes. He woke up and flew off.

My wife once had a flat from roadkill. She thought it was a chicken, but what we pulled out looked more like a possum tooth. Maybe he tried to bite the tire? The second to the last thing to go through that possum's mind: "I'll show her!"; the last thing to go through his mind: rubber!
