Ballistics Question

I was looking at the ballistic chart for 6mm Federal Pow-Shok and saw something that didn't make any sense to me. According to the information that I took from Federal's website, if you site in the bullet at 100 yards you have a 2.9" drop whereas if you site in at 200 yards you only have a 1.4" rise.

Why is there and inch and half difference here? It seems to me that the drop from 100 - 200 yards would be equal to the rise from 200 - 100 yards.

Average Range

Yards 50, 100, 200, 300

6B -0.3 0 -2.9 -11.0

Long Range

Yards 50, 100, 200, 300,

6B 0.5 1.4 0 -6.7

Here is the link to the ballistics chart that the above information was taken. http://www.federalpremium.com/balli...firearm=1&bc=0.354&muzzvel=3100&bulletwgt=100

I guess you can't have extra spacing in a post.

The arc of the bullet path is not proportional when you extend the sight in range to 200 yards vs. 100 yards due to the progressing deceleration of the bullet and ensuing drop in trajectory.

I figured it was prob. the arc of the bullet path.
