Just wondering if anyone are doing any good fishing from the pier. Was planning a trip soon with the kids.

Don't waste your time. Go to the south end of Jekyll and surf fish. You can also do that between the St imons Pier & the King & Prince Hotel. Jekyll is better.

Buddy and I set up on SSI beach at 3rd street public beach access for today's incoming tide.

Used cut shrimp and squid. Got several bites but only landed 2 whiting and a small shark and we have no idea what we're doing.

It was great weather and we really enjoyed the time.

Fished for an hour with the same baits on the SSI pier later in the day and didn't get the first bite.

Wish I knew the best place to set up on Jeykll.

About 20 yrs ago i was fishing on the jip and saw a little
family dog get blown off the pier and into the water,it swam around for about 2 min before a large shark ate it.
The family was very upset.I have caught alot of flounder off the pier.
