Mater sandwiches

With today being the first day of Spring, it got me to thinking about all the planting that needs to be done.
Then I started thinking about a big ole homegrown mater sandwich.

I like mine on white loaf bread with mayo & salt & pepper!

You can't do it with store bought maters...it's just not the same.

You are "ON IT, DOGGONE IT"!!!!!!!!!!!

It's gotta be "WHITE" bread and only "COLONIAL"!!!!!!!!! No other kind of white bread and definitely not any wheat bread!!!!!!!!!

Lots of "MAYO" and as much salt and pepper as you can stand!!!!!!!!!!

Let's get 'er done!!!!!!!!!!!

If they're real good maters, I can eat one like an apple, with the salt & pepper in one hand, & a big ole mater in the other!

I wish I had a dollar for everytime I went into my Dad's garden and grabbed me one to eat like an apple!!!!!!!

I call em "Sink Sandwiches", because I put so many tomatoes on em I have to eat over the sink with the juice dripping off my chin I like em with my Mom's homemade dill pickles too, if I can get her to make some

White bread, LOTS of Hellman's mayo, salt and pepper

I'm going to till and lime my little patch this Friday before I head to camp Turkey hunting

I like to peel the 'maters first, lots of black pepper, a dash or two of salt, and have at it... On FRESH bread. You know, the kind that sticks to the roof of your mouff!

Or, 'maters and fresh biscuits right out of the oven............ Mmmmmmmm

Mama used to put them in my lunch. Maters and mayo and salt and pepper in a leftover breakfast biscuit........

HT I used to like tomatoes but dont care for the taste most of the time any more.
