Strutting Longbeard this a.m.!!

On the way back from Duck hunting this morning I came by a little wheat patch and there were 6 to 8 hens and this one longbeard and he was blown up!! I thought at first he was just ruffled up like they do in the rain, but I got a closer look and grabbed the camera. The pictures didn't turn out to well due to the rain, but you can see a outline in one and a Blue head in the other. If some one wants to mess with them on the color they can, I couldn;t do anything with it!

That's awesome !!!!!!!!! I never will forget going to Cedar Creek WMA in mid January to do some scouting several years ago. We got on a gobbling bird that had a harem of hens with him !!!!!

Gobblers were strutting and setting the pecking order this past Wed and Thurs in the fields around the plant I work at.

I watched 4 toms around one hen here in mid-east Bama, been about a week back now. All of 'em were struttin' their little hearts out.

we saw 3 gobblers and 1 jake the other day and the biggest gobbler had about a 10 in beard he was struttin up a storm. also a buddy called from moultrie and said he went hunting this week when that storm was blowing in and every thunder he said they gobbled back
