Yes and I use it some time but I prefer the accuracy of the bolt action.

1) Remington 700 VS LH in .223 Remington that's been tricked out by Iron Brigade Armory (bought used). It has a Leupold 6.5x20x40mm Vari X III.
2) LH Savage 110 in .25-06 Remington with a Bushnell Elite 4200 4x12x50mm that I use for longer range.
3) LH Savage 111 in .250 Savage with Elite 4200 1.5x6x36mm for a "walking varminter."

7 x57,
Just curious, why not switch the scopes on the .223 and .25-06?

For one thing - the .25-06 serves dual purpose as a Varmint \ long range field deer rifle. I can hit a yote sized kill zone at 500 yards + with 12X so I didn't see the need for higher magnification on that gun. I shoot at smaller targets with the .223 rifle. Eggs and golf balls at 300 to 400 yards are fun.

i like to use my .17 HMR just because its fun to shoot, but my .270 has just a little more knock down power
