I thought some of you might be interested in taking a look at Parker Whedon's new website http://www.oldmasterscustomcallmakers.com/

Parker is one of the oldtime great turkey hunters. He, along with Lovett Williams, was responsible for reprinting Henry Davis' book The American Wild Turkey, McIlhenny's book Hunting the Wild Turkey, etc. He also pioneered several innovations on wingbone and trumpet type yelpers. I guess he must be approaching 80 years old. Anyway, take a look at his site.

Very Nice!

I particularly found this part interesting from the American Wild Turkey Hunting Dog Association linked to his sight.

"The measure of hunter success we
use is the absence of crippling losses.
On average, 1 out of 7 turkeys are wounded every year and not recovered. That's 160,000 turkeys nationwide (mostly gobblers), that would be recovered, if the hunter had the aid of a trained dog."

Will he be in Unicoi again this year?
