Heading to church in Toccoa from Homer on a rainy Sunday last week-had to stop as turkeys were in the middle of the country road. Several flew up in front of the car and several crossed behind. Coming home, saw the same group out in a field. Then a few miles down the road another bunch were in another field. Got home , sat at the table for a meal, and lo and behold there were twelve gobblers with three to four inch beards in the back pasture.
Sure makes one think about March and opening day. Rain must have stirred them up.

sounds like a great day to see turkeys in Your neck of the woods, they love those fields on rainy days
