looking for lawn mower motor

I have an old snapper riding lawn mower that the engine blew up on me last year and I'm looking to replace the engine since everything else is in good working condition. If anyone has, or knows of a horizontal shaft lawn mower engine for sale, could you please pass it on to me? The mower has an 8 horse on it now so anything that size and larger should be fine. I thought about rebuilding it but was told it was more trouble than it's worth but if anyone can prove me different and rebuild it please let me know. Thanks.

I have a K Gro Tractor style with an 18HP commercial twin briggs and stratton I need to get rid of. It cranks and runs OK but it needs some work on the steering. The motor on it might work on your snapper or you might want to put a little elbow grease in this one? I'll let it go cheap........ shoot me an email if interested.

I have an old 8hp Snapper that runs good, but the drive pully sheared off, and I can't drive it. I'll take $150 for the whole mower.

Thanks guys for the reply's. MatthewsMan had a lawn mower just like mine that runs, just had to switch some parts from mine. I really appreciate all the efforts and will keep ya'll in mind if anything comes up.
