If you can find someone nearby that grows them, you simply break a stalk off and stick immediately in wet spoil or place in a bucket of water (best bet). You may even have blooms the first year, usually Sept, Oct or Nov.
Not sure if you can get them at Home Depot but maybe.

got mine at Wolfskin Gardens, just east of Athens.........Thyme after Thyme in Winterville might also have them...........
