I was on my way to a friends place today to look at a tractor he needed parts for and while driving down the dirt road to his place I saw some birds way back across an old field. I stopped the truck, got out and popped in a mouth reed. Ripped off a few runs off a few cutts and then some purrs and had 10 hens come trotting across the field to within 50 yards of me before they realized my red ford was not a fellow hen.

No toms seen but where there's hens there's toms...

I`m startin` to see some activity around here too. Gobblers are startin` to follow the hens around.

pretty much. I used two different reeds on them and had good responses to both types.

Just hope that the toms will cooperate in a couple weeks.
