This is an idea of what is happening to the antlers I picked up in trade last Saturday.
Two ball starters with pieces cut for two more. Three patch knife handles.
One powder measure in the making (burr piece).
And one piece I'm not quite sure about yet.

A little odor?
Them things STINK! Reminds me of the smell in the dentist's office when he's filling a tooth.
When I was in the basement sanding on them things toe other evening, my wife came down there (which she very rarely does), and said, "Something stinks upstairs." I had to quit sanding right then.;)

I got some ideas on what to do with mine. But I aint tellin. saving them for the next tradin blanket. I'm a thinkin maybe even some side tradin.
Those look great Gene!!! Good uses you came up with.
I save the tine tips and put them on the end of bolo tie cords. I have also used them to make primitive points, flakers, and small miscellaneous carvings.
