Georgia Special Sportsmen Inc. (GSS) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, Christian based outreach ministry designed to teach physically challenged youth, ages 13 to 19 years of age, how to participate in and enjoy the shooting and fishing sports that God created; by providing special outdoor events and training for the youth, their family and friends.
It is the vision of Georgia Special Sportsmen Inc. (GSS) to demonstrate a Christian Lifestyle by helping physically challenged youth overcome the barriers of hunting and fishing through special instruction, methods, equipment or assistance from family and friends. Each event that is held includes a time of devotion and our staff’s testimony of our faith in God and his son Jesus Christ.
As a non-profit organization we rely not only on family and friends to help us continue the vision but local businesses as well. If it was not for the gracious donations we receive from local businesses these children may not get to experience the wonders of God’s wondrous outdoors. Georgia Special Sportsmen Inc. believes that no donation is too small. We are seeking your help to ensure an enjoyable experience is had by all of God’s physically challenged children.
Georgia Special Sportsmen Inc. is having our 2nd Annual Sporting Clays Fundraiser Fun Shoot on Saturday, April 5, 2008 starting at 10 am with a shotgun start at Brush Creek Sporting Club, Colbert, Georgia to raise money for the events that have been scheduled for the youth. I am enclosing a flyer with more information. We hope that you be able to help us with this event.
We are asking for donations of gift certificates, merchandise or shooting station sponsorship. The gift certificates and/or merchandise will be used as door prizes. To sponsor a hole it is $150.00 and that gets a 18 x 24 sign with your business name, location and phone number on it which will be placed on one of the twelve shooting stations. You can sponsor as many stations as you like. All your gracious donations are 100% tax deductible. Please make checks payable to: Georgia Special Sportsmen Inc. or you can make a donation through our website www.gaspecialsportsmen.org through PayPal. Please contact me at the below number to arrange for pick up of merchandise that is donated. Deadline for donations is Friday, March 28, 2008.
