Tim, it really dont matter:D
Man they are fun to ship back to...you know all those shi[pping charges for several defective cams in a row!
Jim
I don't know bud....
If it's one of the kinds that we got......
I'd take it......We've had "zero" problems with them and we've proabably taken "500 Pictures" between all the camera's.......
It could be one of them big 'ol black one's that are junk though..... ::huh:

Yeah Tim, I had 2 of their original models that worked great for about a year and then both died at the same time ::huh: So they sent me 2 refurbed "new" models and they went down hill from there.

Dennis,
I went through the same things. I sent mine back twice and got one that worked good til it got wet inside. I then made the decision to go with the Lakota. I am very pleased with this unit. It is out in the woods now and I'm itching to go get that first roll out of it. :)
I recommend a Lakota. Very user friendly and built solid.
Yeah, them "original black ones" are junk........
We just chunked the two we had in the trash...... :mad: :mad:
The other one's have been good though......So far..... ::; ::;

One thing I found out this year from talking to the tech support guys at StealthCam is that since they are triggered by heat and motion, on a really hot day or period of time, the ambient temperature can be so close to the body temperature of whatever you're trying to photograph that there is not enought of a difference to trigger it.
That may explain partially why I get so many more night pictures than day pictures, because at night it cools down. Of course the deer are out much more at night, but that's the other part of it.
I would notice that I could set up a camera and be almost right in front of it and couldn't even get the test light to go off most of the time. I don't think I had the same problem in the winter. -JerryC
