Stupid Question

Are all WMAs available to every licensed hunter in the state of Georgia? Are there any special permits or tags needed to hunt them? My understand is that national forest land is different from a management area.

Thanks

Each wma is different on it's regs for hunting. Most start out the season with just quota hunts you have to be drawn for and later open to the general public. You need to check the hunting reg book or ga hunting regs online to find out what is allowed on each wma. National forest is open to everybody.

Cedar creek & Redlands are w/in ONF but are managed by the state , both are open state season with the difference being you have to sign in on your 1st trip in & sign out any kills. May be a couple others this way ,but its always best to check regs.

Oh yeah you have to purchase a wma stamp. I always get a sportsman lic that covers just about everything.
