I have an '87 944,and its a rear transmission car, it seems were the axle goes into the transmision on the passengers side that something isnt catching right to make the tire spin like it should. It spins alot slower than the drivers side, and it skips about every 5 seconds.
Anyone work on porsches or know someone who does.

One of the states most knowledgeable porsche experts would be "Automobile Atlanta" on the S. Loop in Marietta..The owner is George, he takes apart and sells parts and also repairs Porsches and has about 25 on display. He owns around 100 parts cars so maybe he could help if parts are needed.
There is also a well known Porsche repair shop on Airport Industrial Drive by Dobbins AFB in Marietta. Name escapes me, owner is named Ryland I believe and my bro' takes his car to him.

Check & make sure the axle drive flange is properly seated in the transaxle. Measure the spacing on the good side & compare how far the flange is from the case. The drive flange may have popped out. It is held in place with a spring clip. You could also have an inner CV joint going bad. Can't help much more than that unless I can see the car.

Automobile Atlanta is a great place. George Hussey has worked on mine for a LONG time. They can even help you over the phone and they can ship you parts if want to "do it yourself"
