Anyone have this?
It's a bacteria that can cause peptic ulcers?
What pain did you experience from it, and how'd you treat it?
The doctor put me on Prevpac, a 14 day supply, 8 pills a day.

My wife had the H. Pylori bacteria and the peptic ulcers several years ago. They treated her with antibiotics, can't remember the name of the A/B. She has not had any reccurrence. She is at the beach this week or I would ask her.

prev pack is the common treatment--- side effects of the treatment is equal to those of H pylori but temporary and worth the misery / cost good luck stick with the treatment

They have me on Prevpac, but what pains did y'all or your spouses have?
A burning? cramping? feeling like you're being gutted?
It could be the hernia... but I'm not sure.
Any of y'all ever had an abdominal wall hernia? How'd it feel?

my father had it. if you do the research they say as much as 80% of the population has the bacteria, the difference is it never bothers some and in other cases it has been related to causing ulcers. the normal treatment for it is a 20-30 day combination of three strong antibiotics. there is a blood test for it. some doctors will just treat you for it if they suspect it is the cause of ulcers.
my father had aching in his stomach, felt sick all the time, upset stomach, and throwing up at times. they only treated it once he had an ulcer rupture and due to throwing up blood he ended up in the hospital. after the treatment he has been fine ever since.
i am having problems myself right now. pretty sure i have ulcers and think it may be due to the H. pylori bacteria. instead of testing me for it though the doctor has referred me to a gastro doctor to look into it. i am in the mist of setting an appointment now. i believe they will go down my throat to look at my stomach.:banginghe. not looking forward to it. i have been having problems for about a year. as of recent i have alot of indigestion pain, alot of gas:eek: not good. and my stomach and lower abdomin area are always aching, kind of a constant dull pain with occassional throbbing pain. i'll keep you posted as to what comes of it.

The endoscopy isn't that bad. That's how they found mine.. took a sample of my stomach and sent it off.
The only problem I had afterwards, is the blood clots in my nose/sinus cavity from where they had the tube ran in there. It wasn't painful, just very uncomfortable and the taste of blood in my mouth wasn't pleasant at all...
I feel ya on the pain.. Sometimes it hurts like crazy! Almost doubling over pain... that, and I'll break out in hot sweat...
Maybe this Prevpac will take care of it. Good luck to ya and keep me posted!
