It's markings like this that give away certain deer. I'm always being grilled about how I know my deer by their pictures and this is just another way to identify them. Cool.

I pulled my camera yesterday and looked at the pics. The tips of his horns are out just past his ears.

Every other deer on our property has one of those. Now if his tail was black on the topside and the underneath side, you would have something. Brown or black on a the topside whitetail's tail is really common. More so in certain regions than others.
