Old Weapon

My uncle has bought an old bayonet, on it it has the words "L Deny Paris 1878"

Does anyone know where I might be able to find any information on it at?

biggsteve Thanks..years ago I inherited one of those sword / bayonets with the French inscription..I had no idea what it said or was. Mine is in well used condition.

Do you have a picture of it?
