Ok, had this particular tv hooked up to the Satellite in one place, worked fine, decided to move it, used the air hose to blow off the sawdust (building in that room) wiped it down etc.,etc., now, it won't work w/ no cable I use to hook it to satellite! It will work on the regular antenna, but not the satellite. I even changed all the cables on the other tv in the back (this is all set up in a camper) and they all worked fine, but not this tv. Any ideas???

Is there a separate jack for the Satellite vs the antenna? If so, is there a switch that chooses between the two (my TV has one)? Maybe the switch got turned the other way.

Try another tv, or take it back to the previous location, if it works there work on your cable to the new location.

check your cat cable- sometimes the wire lead inside the cable snaps off- if its there, try bending it just a hair, then reinsert it into the TV jack-

I have seen it happen more than once on a cable thats been installed for years- the owner takes the cable off, it either snaps, or slides back a hair inside the coax- when tey reinsert it, theres no feed-

put both cables on other tv, worked fine, haven't toted it back to the cabin to try it there though, that will be a "this weekend" thang, I reckon!

I'll dble chk that, but they work on the other tv that's in the bdrm, but then, I plug them into another cable that's through the window, not directly into the tv. Another, "this weekend" ck out to do.

I'll try these things out, but if anyone can think of anything else, by all means, holler at me! Having one tv in the LR & one in the BR, bathroom inbetween them, both tv's on the same channel, one on satellite, one on regular antenna, uuuhhh, did ya'll know how much of a deeelay there is?!?! LOL, enough to drive ya bonkers listening to them while you're getting dressed in the mornings, that's for sure!

This may sound odd, but do you have the TV on the right channel for satellite? With DishNetwork you may have multiple TVs on the same box and they each have to be on a separate channel. Just thinking.

Michael, that brings up an interesting question on a problem I have. Anyone know what the 'Primary' channel number or remote 1 has to be set on? The cats walked or jumped on the remote for my remote 1 tv on dish and now I can't figure out how to reset it. The other tv on remote 2 does fine so I haven't really worried about it or had time to call them and ask what channel remote 1 should be set to.

my thing is I have 2 reciever's, 3 tv's, the console in the cabin is on one reciever, set to chan3, the other 2 are in the camper (temp living quarters till finished building!) one tv in bdrm other in living room, put a splitter on & bdrm tv works fine (on chan3) the other -- static, chan3& 4 - -hook it STRAIGHT to 2nd reciever line, still static.
I think the primary channel is 3 although I have *heard* of others being 4, all of mine have always been 3...........hope this at least helps you fix your problem! If not, tell the kitty's they gotta get up & change the channels for ya! LOL, I love me cats too!

does it have another input (where u can use red, yellow and white cables)?? if it does, you may want to try that....i had a tv that wouldn't pick up sat on the one cable but when i switched the input and used the other cables, it worked fine.

Hmmm, my tv for remove 2 has to be set to channel 60 in order to receive the satellite feed. Guess I'd better call the folks one of these days.
Sorry Kebo, can't answer your question..I can't even figure out mine. Last time I unhooked my dish cable from one tv, the tv completely died and I had to get a new one.

With dishnetwork your 2nd tv should be set to channel 73. 1st tv probably set to 3-4 or one of the videos.

I have the box where you can run 2 tvs on different channels and my 2nd tv must be set on channel 60...I checked that the other night. I swear I've been thru 100 channels on the first one and haven't figured out what the cats did.

Whenever ours messed up I'd turn on the satellite and make sure everything was on and then run an auto-program on the TV, it would always find the channel and then be programmed for only that one.

Thanks to all ya'll's input, I finally figured it out! Instead of putting the splitter on from the satellite, I had to split from the BOX! I know, I know, here's my sign!:banginghe
Thanks everyone!!!!
