it doesn't look like it is the one that extends out...is that correct?

I think it does. I will have to go look at it to find out. If anyone wants to make an offer I know my mother in law will think hard about them.

a man by his tools - looks like you lost a good one. Fellow had good tools to work with. Good luck with the sale and it's great for you to try to help out your MIL. My condolences.
I've got one of these and I gotta say you can do more work in 2 hours using this thing than you can clean up in a week. Definitely no regrets buying one for me. This is one tool every club should own.

That one is NOT the telescoping model. It will take an extension however. You can pick them up wherever Stihl products are sold. Nice saw, I love mine.

Great tool. I've got the extension, but I've found that clearing shooting lanes without the extension works great. I can stand up straight and cut stuff off at the ground. then add the extension for the high stuff.
I used to have the telescoping model. It was kinda clumsy and heavy.
Free Bump.

The only model number I could get from my mother in law last night was HT-KM and when I looked it up its the saw attachment.
