They are mostly found along the coast in the spring and summer. They can be spotted up major river corridors however. Jekyll is a great place to see them right now. I saw 8 in the first hour and a half of daylight. Also saw tri-colored heron, yellow-crowned night heron, eastern towhee, countless egrets and gulls, and royal terns. Not bad for an hour or so of birding, spent most of my time watching the buntings. I was shooting a nikon D200 with nikkor 300mm lens. Settings, 1/500 -1/2000 f8, jpeg fine, white balance set at sunny +3.
The pics are much crisper, had to dilute to post them.
