I do not know about the Colorado but there is a sales guy over onthe BBC site that says a $48,000.00 Z71 Tahoe last week is going for $37,000.00 this week. That is a steep cut. I am thinking about getting a new one too. Mine is 10 months old now.

With the discounts going on you can get a full size for what a Colorado normally sells for.

I'm the used car manager at Riverside Chev. in Rome. I hope you all got you one cause the choice pieces with all the good equipment packages and colors are disappearing fast. Happy Trails, John

Good to know there are a bunch of bowtie boys around here. :flag:

Yeah, most of us have sense and drive Chevy's :bounce: , however there are some like Brad who would not know a truck if it ran them over ::ke: Sorry this is :offtopic: Seriously 3and8, now would an awesome time to throw down on a new full size Z71 with the discounts and all. I wish I could afford a new one......There'll be time for that when collegei is finished.

I love mine, probably my favorite truck so far and I've had about 10-15 in the last few years.

its too late man, I bought a new Colorado a couple of weeks ago :D Red ext cab Z71.

Im loving this truck though..........I would love to have a fullsize but they are much more difficult to get in and out of from a wheelchair, not to mention a little too much out of my price range :).............the Colorado is working out REALLY great for me

That red Colorado of yours is a good lookin' truck!

Mine came in Monday from TN, and I love it so far!!! I had the Westin bars put on today, and I am going Friday to get the front windows tinted. BTW...seeing you pull up in yours at the cookout made me want to get back home ASAP.

Yeah man, 3and8 has a pretty RED truck! I bought a white crew cab Z71 after the cookout Sat. Almost $11,000 off the sticker price. Can't beat it.

I was working for GM SP&O in Denver awhile back and bought me a new GMC Z-71 Sierra Crew cab SLT. This baby had everythign but birth control on it and I really didn't need all the gizmos that it came with. I traded in my 2001 F-250 supercab longbed (tuna trawler) on it.
I looked at the Colorado, and the sound of a 5cyl engine just didn't appeal to me. Heck, a 6 cyl has trouble going over the pass at 11,000'. Realistically, it is a dolled up S-10.

GMC is proud of their vehicles and they are expensive, but so far, it is the best truck I've ever owned. Doesn't have the brute force of the 3/4 ton F-250, but I don't haul anything huge anymore.

I could imagine a 6 cyl would have some problems at that altitude :hair:

I was kinda leary of the 5 cyl myself at first but after driving one, I found that it has more than enough power for what I need a truck for. The most I would be pulling is my four wheeler on a utility trailer around the state here in Ga during hunting season............the gas mileage isnt too awful bad for a 4X4 either..........Consumer Reports has the Colorado listed as the most reliable mid sized pickup on the market and I think thats pretty good considering they are up against the Toyota and Nissan.

Bought a HD2500 LT Crew cab 4x4 Duramax on June 10th!! Got an awesome deal on it. I had neg. a price Memorial Day weekend and then went back when the new promo started and that same truck was $3000 less than the price I had worked hard to get in May!!!

Had to get rough with them about trade in on my 2002 Z71. They came around after I left and they called me back with an apology and increase my trade to acceptable level.

If you are thinking of buying a GM vehicle in the next year you better go now. It will be hard to beat these prices.

the more a vehicle cost the more the discount. A tahoe has more discount than a trailblazer.

I love mine. I have a 2005 4 x 4 Colorado Crew Cab with almost 35,000 completely trouble free miles on it and have just put gas and oil in it...knock on wood, no other maintenance has been required.

The gas mileage is very dependent on the speed you drive at. If I keep it below 65 it just sips the gas, but once you start driving faster then that the gas mileage really starts to drop off. But that's true for most trucks and SUV's.
