Ossabaw Parent/Child Hunt

Ossabaw P/C Hunt :D

My Daughter and two nephews were selected for the thanksgiving P/C hunt on Ossabaw for the 3rd year in a row. There is nothing more fun than taking your kids camping and hunting at Ossabaw. :cool: Anybody else going to be there??

My son and I applied for that hunt as well, but to date we haven't heard anything. How long ago did you get your confirmation? ::huh:

Anyway, If we get picked I'll shoot ya a pm. In the meantime I'll be there for the Nov 4-6 PW hunt :clap:

Jayrod, go to the DNR web sight and you can check if you got drawn on line. Hope you're boy got in.

We got our letters on Saturday. Hopefully you will get a letter today in the mail. The parent child hunts are sent to the regional offices and usually don't get posted online.

We're going to Ossabaw...I just got off the phone with my son while he went to the mailbox... He was so excited his voice was shaking.

I'm going on the Ossabaw PW hunt Nov 4th-6th and now with Benjamin on the Parent/Child hunt Nov 25th - 27th...What are the odds of 2 Ossabaw hunts in one year :clap:

I went on the parent/child hunt a couple of years ago and the biggest deer of the year were taken during that hunt.

Also, I saw a record book rattler (bigger than the calf of my leg & I have big legs) just lying out in the sun. I stopped at the rattle snake round up a few years ago and nothing at the roundup would even come close to the size of that snake. The ranger said, the hogs get all the small snakes and one that the hogs want mess with has to be a big one.
