We are getting ready for fall hunt tests, and had a super day with friends and dogs, and I thought it would be fun to share with everyone what we do on a Saturday morning! :)
Here is a little picture view of our day! The first 3 pictures are of the guys getting ready to turn loose a really nice GWP (working on her Sr. Hunter title), and setting out birds, and with the youngest member of the team :)
The rest are of our Dierk, Brenda's Foxy and Sadie (momma to the two pups!) Both babies are progressing well toward the Hunt Test season this fall and it will be fun to see them as they mature. Goal is Master Hunter on both pups!

Beautiful pointers !!!!!! Those remind me of the days when I grew up quail hunting. We always had some good bird dogs. It's just ashame that the quail died out like they did.

Thank you :) :) :)
I love German Shorthaired Pointers, and in the group we work with can be found my dogs of course, German Wirehaired Pointers, a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, a Deutch Drathaar (GWP in German ;) ) and some nice Brittanys!
We never seem to tire of getting together with our mentor and friend, Earl Fowls, to enjoy the dogs!
There are still some places with wild birds, as I know a few people who are getting quail on the land again in some areas. But I do hear stories of how it "used to be" for bird hunting. Most of what I do is participate in Hunt Testing and an occasional Field Trial and its fun!
All the owners of the dogs shown, and a couple who were not shown just because they were not able to join us this weekend, are in working kennels... We may not be able to hunt in the field a lot, but we like to keep out hunting dogs working birds :)

Well, glad you were able to help. Sometimes the vet is important, but we missed you!!
Been taking pictures, but maybe next week will try the video capabilities of my camera :) Didn't know till now I could upload video to this forum (watched the beagles chasing rabbits video on the dogs to oconee thread!) ... that would be fun! :)
I hope Dierk will cooperate if we try to video... but maybe Earl will run Tara or Raven... that would be great movies!
