The results of opening weekend, last year.

As some of you know the wife and I had our best season yet last year. On opening day, she took a nice 8 point. Her first buck, ever! The morning after that, I took another 8 point. My biggest ever... Here they are...

Same as years past. I let her take first shot, on whatever shows up. On opening day, her 8 point came out on her side of the stand -- about 15 yards away. That Sunday, mine came out on my side of the stand - about 12-15 feet from the stand. Luckily, he was on my side and there is no way she could have gotten a shot of, so I had to take him... :rolleyes: :clap:

Two weeks, same thing. Whatever steps out is hers, providing she can get a shot off... :p

Thanks Trizey. I had him scored a month or so back and he officially went..... oh wait, should we do a "guesstimate #5"? :bounce:

He scored 134 1/8th and only had 1 1/8" in deductions. :clap: Best deer of my life! :)

NC, you bet! I have a line drawn down the center of the stand. My side is mine, her side is mine.. :D

5 more days will mark one year that those two bucks met their maker... :D

Struttin'Southern -- Yep, we've thought about that. Her buck is almost identical to mine in rack. I would love to have seen hers this year year or next.

My buck was estimated at 4.5 years old and hers about 1.5. I would have liked to see what hers turned out to look like. I bet they would have been almost indentical. :)

I've found some sheds of a couple bucks that wasn't seen last year, so I'm anxious to see what they look like this year also! :D
