Whats the oldest you'll let your female beagle

Be bred , when I had coon hounds I tried not
to breed 1 over 6 yrs. Im just wondering on you guys
with beagles . I always felt it took to much from my coon hounds breeding after she was six years.
And never bred one under 2, so I had 4 years of breeding
to any one of my females.

Your thoughts appreciated.

I just had a litter out of my female brittany....... She is a couple months over 6 years however this was only her second litter. I dont think we are breeding her again.

Sounds like what you are doing is the way to go. I seem to think like you do.

My 7 year old is just about to drop her last litter.She will be making a visit to the vet after this bunch.

Would this 7 year old be the Mother
to Georgia ?
Also is the Father of these soon to be born the same
one of georgia ?
Or are they different ...
so they can be registered this go around.
Bud I know Georgia has got to be one of the best lookin
beagles I ever owned .Plus she's a real smart little gal
for almost 7 months.
