Yep, Elly is a Blue Heeler. Bo came out of Alabama, as a runt. He was supposed to be a mountain cur, but your guess is good as mine. It was at the Winter Classic a few years ago. There was an ice storm goin` on, and it was colder`n a frog. The little varmint was about froze, his litter mates had gnawed all but 3 toes off one of his hind feet, and the man wanted $50 dollars for him. I told him I doubted it would live till dark. He said for $20 I could bury him myself. I reckon I was feelin` sorta soft hearted that day. I carried him home in my coat pocket, and The Redhead somehow kept him alive. He`s made a good little dog, and truth be known, I wouldn`t take nothin` for the little feller.

I`ve been told by a purty reliable source, that her coat and my beard are the same color, but Elly is gettin` kinda old!

Klem has a treein` feist named Zip. I`ll see can`t I scratch up a pic of her. Zip ain`t near as purty as Elly, though!
