I like Unicoi in Helen. I have a few things I bought at Orvis in Pigeon Forge/Sevierville but most stuff there is on the high side for me. Most all my tyin supplies come from Cabelas.

There is shop in Hiram called Nature's Tackle Box. He is an Ovis dealer. He has really been nice when I've dropped in. I am really new to fly fishing and he has spent a lot of time showing me stuff and answering questions.

I'll second Kingfisher Outfitters in Callaway Gardens. I work in Harris county and it's nice to take a trip up there when things are slow and you need something. Only local shop around these parts.
Unicoi outfitters is nice also, I bough all my tying stuff there.

Hands down the fish hawk. I have been to shops all over the country and the fishhawk in buckhead is the best in my opinion. They got a great selection and the guys know what they are talking about. Also one of the guys that works there a lot is a fly tier and designer for umpqua flies which is pretty cool.

Wow, you make your own reels, fly lines, hooks, blanks, etc? That's pretty cool.

I second The Fly Fisherman in Titusville, FL. They've got some cool stuff.

I like Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone, MT, too. Craig Mathews is a great tyer and it shows in the materials and other things he offers there.

In the South, I like The Flyshop of Tennessee. Eddie Wyatt is a great tyer as well and he also has unique materials.

Another thumbs up for The Fish Hawk. Gary and staff will treat you right. Largest Sage dealer around. Best selection of tying supplies around. The guys at Highland in Cartersville are solid citizens too. They have some great deals now on lots of stuff. Later............

The Fly Box in Kennesaw is by far my Favorite. I can spend hours in there talking and learning more about fly fishing......I also like Highland Outfitters in Cartersville, it is by the middle school on the west end of town.

Since I'm way outside the 1-285 loop and only venture that way when directed to by SWMBO, my favorite is Unicoi Outfitters in Helen. Most all of my fly shopping is done in conjunction with fly fishing. I don't care to go to the big city to fish. I'd rather be in the mountains on a little crick. I can fish Helen area, or even Clayton area, and use fishing as an excuse to visit Jimmy, John and the rest of the Liars Club. That reminds me, gotta renew my membership. :bounce:

Fav is The FishHawk
then Unicoi
then Flyfisherman in Titusville.

The FishHawk is hands down though to me the best shop around. Gary is a great guy and everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful.

Unicoi Outfitters in either Helen or Blue Ridge. Fishhawk in Atlanta. Definitely the best in the state.
