Ditto what CWard says. The 2" Bohning Blazers work as well as any of the larger vanes at a lost less weight.

I seen 4, 1.5 inch vanes on a drop away rest controled a muzzy 125 gr 3 blade real well out to 40 yards. Kinda neat idea.

I bought 36 Blazers and started by fletching two arrows. I have now cut off all my vanes and feathers and gone with the blazers only. I also bought another 100 of them so I guess you could say I like them.

I went to 2" blazers right after last bow season and have been very happy with them out of a whisker biscuit. They last much longer through the biscuit and fly great.

Each 2" blazer weighs 5 grains, so weight wise the are the same. Speed wise about the same also.

After hearing much talk about the Blazers here and other places, I decided to give them a try.

I picked up a dozen Blazer fletched Gold Tips 55/75's today.

I would think they make less noise than feathers, correct?? Since they are short can you attach with a heli or straight only.

Thanks
