Apparently my prev. post sounded like a FS add. I'm wanting to know if it's a good deal for me to purchase to get into handgun hunting.

2000 TC Encore pistol in 25-06. SS fluted barrel and SS frame. Composite furniture. TC 2.5x7 scope. Great Condition. $499

The scope itself is worth $100-125, used, so you would be getting the gun for $375. That is a great deal for an Encore pistol. Since the barrel is fluted I will assume it a Pro-hunter or a custom barrel. That only adds to the deal. Not that the Pro-hunter barrel is any better than the regular old Encore barrels, but some people seem to think so based on the prices that they sell for.

The 25-06 is tough to handle in a pistol. But that is certainly a good price.

I'm thinking if I don't like the caliber, I'll just get another barrel. I'm also wanting to get an AR before they get banned again, so I have to decide where to put my funds.

I'd put my funds into that pistol. An AR is fun but IMHO the pistol would be more practical.
