I have never done any action shots but I'm ready and willing to try anything and learn any new things I can so I went to a soccer game that a friends son was playing in. I liked some of the shots but wanted to get creative. These are my efforts, what do ya'll think??

It's obvious what I did to this one but I also added a motion blur to the background.

I hated the background here but giving it a motion blur helped(I think)

Here I wanted Madison to be the focus of the shot but I liked the kids in the back so I just desaturated the background and left him as the star of the show.

What kind of camera are you using - our girls play Lacrosse and we are looking for a camera that takes good action shots.

These are great pictures of your star in each picture.

Thanks! I have a Sony A300 DSLR I used the kit lens 70-300mm to take these. There are better and faster lenses though.

Hoss and Leo,
Thanks for your very nice comments :) I just love the atmosphere around here, I think I'll stick around! A little bit of encouragement goes a long way for me ;)

Great work! Two of my favorite techniques. I did some motion blur a while back on some
motorcross shots. One turned out really nice.
Hang around for sure. A great place with good people.
