Ducks from work.

Been slow for a few days so I've been stalkin' ducks at the far end of the lake. Got some Gadwalls, coot and some Red Heads here. Took my wife and kid out yesterday afternoon to watch em fly in. Saw several Woodies, Gadwall, 2 Red Heads, PB grebes, Canadas, and 1 Canvasback! 1st Cback I've seen while working here. Sorry, can't coax them in close enough for good shots even with my 300m/2x combo. Workin on it though.

Looks like you were shooting from the platform back there? That is some good looking habitat for photographs, but you need some SERIOUS rotats (reach out there and touch something) to get full frame shots up there. I have a had a few woodies swim almost to within range up there (until some nimrod comes stomping out to see what I was about to take shots of...).

Sounds like the ducks are moving on down with this weather! Good luck on getting some shots.

Your right rip, got the deck wrapped in Camo netting right now, though about tryin some decoys.
