Lot of talk on how well the LeverEvolution punches paper, but has anyone seen the results in a real hunting situation yet? I switched to the LeverE after my kill last month, and plan on giving it a real world test tomorrow hopefully.

the rifle shells are impressive, i would guess the handgun shells would do the same

I haven't, but Hornady started offering the bullets as reloading components, so I know that I am going to try them out in my .44 Mag for next season. I also know a couple of guys that are going to load them up in .357 Max.

My daughter killed a 6 pointer with her .357 rifle using the Leverevolution cartridges. 80 yard shot, dead right there.

I think the batch of Leverevolution I have has highly concentrated deer repellent in those little red tips.

I have not had a chance to even put crosshairs on a deer this season.

I took a doe and a 9pt with them in october out of a 45/70 govt, 325grain bullet. The bullet did its job and then some, one was DRT and the other didn't get very far. Both shots did do a good bit of damage to what would have been good meat. I would still recommend them though.

I have killed a deer and a bear with the 444 Marlin round. The deer was facing me and I hit it at the base of the neck. Exit was through the stomach area. Pretty much field dressed it for me.

The bear was shot from a BFR pistol and entered in the center of the chest. Entrance wound was the size of a softball...no exit wound visible.

IMO they are a wonderful bullet.

I killed a doe that weighed about 120 lbs. this Christmas day with the Hornady rounds out of my SW 586 357Mag, it worked wonderfully. The round went in behind the front shoulder and exited behind the fifth rib. Entrance hole about 1/4" across and exit hole about 1" across. She only made it about 40 yards.

I got a deer this year with my .45-70 using the leverevolution. Bang, dead.

Left a very large exit.
