i have a few Christmas light pics from the other day that i will post after Thanksgiving but i wanted to post these to remind folks to keep an eye out for things to try it on. drb and rip suggested this method and you get some interesting things ( artsy fartsy as angie calls it 
)
this was about a 3 second shutter and i just focus closely on the subject with my hand on the zoom ring and as the shutter opens smoothly as possible zoom out from the subject. that is what gives it the exploded look. there will be lots of opportunities for this with all the lights for the Christmas season and i wanted to give yall a reminder. i remembered on the last thing i saw
