Adult/Child WMA Hunts?

Are all Adult/Child WMA Deer hunts (firearms hunts), it is unclear in the Regs. book? My son is 8 now and we were looking forward to going to Ossabaw if we get drawn. I assumed they were but want to make sure, he is dead on with his .243 but not with a bow.

I think all of the adult / child hunts are firearms hunts.

I know that the Ossabaw hunt is a firearms hunt.

adult -child

the ossabaw hunt is a little different than other because it is quota. So only the child can hunt and you have to be in direct sight and hearing.at that age right beside him would probably best.on regular A/C hunts both adult and child can hunt.I thought the child had to be 10 to hunt on a wma but cant find it in regs anywhere.also is this the first year applying or do you have rejections letters.seems like it took 2 or 3 yrs for us to go when mine went to the a/c.good luck he will have a blast.

There is not a lower limit on the age of the child for an adult - child hunt as far as I know. Common sense should be the guide though.

I know for a fact that kids under 10 are allowed on quota hunts.
