Loading a reel????

I recieved this reel when my Dad passed. I remember when he bought it, and I was the first person to catch a fish with it,,,,,,,,,, 20 years ago.

So now it's back in my hands,,,, with no line on it. I just don't know how to load line up on it. And have spring return when finished.

Help needed.

I got one like that just wind it up then hit the trigger and keep doing it til all line is on.... It will wear ya out after fishin all day...:rofl: Being so heavy

Well,,,,,, I've wound it up 15 ways from Sunday with no results. May be broken??

If you wind and feel no tension increase, then the spring has either broken or one end has disconnected. Remove the outside face and take a look.
