We shot a few birds at our farm over the weekend. My Springer is not even a year yet and did great, it was her first hunt. We had a good time, we baled hay this year so the conditions weren't perfect be we had a great time pulling the trigger and working the dogs regardless. Now that duck season is over us upland guys need to start making some noise and take back the "Thangs with Wangs" section back from the Duck addicts. :D

We shot 80 birds yesterday and i totally forgot that i had my camera in my pocket.

We bought 100 birds-50 in the morning and 50 in the afternoon. Every one of those pics are the afternoon hunt, I didn't snap one pic in the first hunt when the dogs were fresh. It's easy to get busy shooting and/or working dogs and forget about it.

It started as a way to kill time. I would take him in the back pasture and shoot over him with quail and dove I had thawed out and he showed a lot of potential so I took it from there. I will say that I worked with him A LOT. I have put 1/4 the time into training my springer and she already shows a lot more potential.

There has to be more than two people who carry a camera hunting.

Upland Birds!

Enjoyed your pics. You guys leave those rabbits for us beaglers. Just kidding. I always enjoy the pics. of those english cockers. Maybe I should get one to go with my brit one of these days. What is the range on those cockers when hunting? I would assume 30-40 yds. in thicker cover. Definitely would be great woodcock dogs.
