Has anyone used this outfit before. I have a chance to purchase one at a killer price, but will not be able to try it out first.

Bought one at BPS a while back in their discount section for $100. I like it fine.

I've not heard anything bad about Sage's at all. If i could get anything of sage at a killer deal, I'd take it!

Sage makes some good rods. I have a Z-axis and love it. I don't knwo much about the launch.

I agree with some of comments in the thread. You can not go wrong with a Sage rod.

I ended up going with a new Sage Flight #5. I love this rod, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite's.

The Launch series is a good entry level rod. I have a Orvis Green Mountain and a St. Croix in that price range and the Launch is the best of the bunch. I have the 4 piece - 3 weight and use it at our pond to catch bream and bass. Perfect for that. I bought it with a gift certificate from Cabela's and was trying to stay in the $200 range. It isn't as nice as my higher end rods, but is probably a better value. It is one of my favorites.
