While traveling down a county dirt road with some colleagues from work, I noticed something in the ditch moving. After closer examination it was a Hawk and a Black Snake locked up in battle. The snake had the hawk all wrapped up and probably would have killed the hawk if left alone. I like hawks better than snakes, so I helped the hawk free himself and he flew away to fight another day. I just thought this was pretty interesting.

too bad you did not have a camera handy. im sure that was pretty interesting to watch. ive never seen anything like that, not that im an authority on oddities of nature.

I saw a hawk fly across dirt road i was driving on with a snake in its claws!

Yeah I am like you, I would have helped the Hawk out, and I would have let the Black Snake go also...
