hey yall, i bout to go crazy waitin on saturday to get here. I got a few good spots here in ga but im goin to a friends farm in kansas in april so hopefully ill be able to contribute this year.
i didnt participate in this last year so im not really sure how the team thing goes as far as choosing birds to enter. but since we can't cull birds i guess we need to figure out a system so we enter our best birds rather than just the first birds killed.
JHannah92
03-16-2009, 02:20 PM
I think we should just enter every gobbler we kill. It would take a lot for us to kill more than 12 birds between us so having too many birds isn't likely to be a problem. As long as it's a good 2 year old or better I say enter it. What do you guys think?
bcleveland
03-16-2009, 07:22 PM
I agree with you. As long as its a 2yo or better I think we should enter it. Unless all os us double on 16" beard 2" long spurred wma birds on Saturday then we can pick and choose.:rofl::rofl:
JHannah92
03-16-2009, 10:14 PM
Thats a problem I'd love to have.

i hunted this past weekend, no luck in emanuelle co. or bryan co., i was forced to call the game early on saturday in due to lightning even though i had 8 hens in the field.
im hunting down in bryan county friday morning and then high-tailing it up to some unhunted (if not poached) family property in towns county for saturday and sunday.
hopefully we will be able to get on the board this week. Good luck to yall

Here's some pics. It's nice to kill a turkey and have the game warden take pictures for you. He came in at 11:10 this morning with 2 jakes and a hen. Never broke strut the whole way in. Dropped him at 15 yards.
