365 pound hog

shot this hog and some others just before dark about 6:20 ,went back the next morning around 11:am and found her still alive! she jumped up and ran at me so I shot her in the left eye,she rolled and came at me again.so I shot her in the ear she came no more!!!
I had hit her right behind the shoulder the first time .I dressed her to see why the bullet didn't do the job.it had taken out one whole lung and part of the other one.but just didn't want to die!

What caliber gun were you using? load?

I was using a ruger .243 ,100 core-lokt psp. I have used this load for years and this is the first time I've had a hog run that far or live that long! I shot a boar once at 402 yards with the same load and he dropped dead,but he only weighed around 150 pounds. the biggest I have taken personally with that load is 450 pounds also dropped dead! he was shot through the upper shoulders ,taking out a portion of the spine!
