Best truck for car seat

Hi all and thanks for your info.

I have a gardening business and am looking to purchase a truck. My wife and I are also looking to have start a family in the future and this has got my head spinning as to what truck I should be looking at. I plan to keep this truck for many years so its important that it is family friendly. Is it safe / possible for a infant car seat to be used in a ext cab or do I need to be looking for a double / crew cab. Below would be my perfect match.

Smallest profile possible
Middle to long sized bed
Baby / small kid safe

I have an extended cab Ram. Until the boys were in booster seats, wife couldn't ride with me. I would recommend getting a full size 4 door truck.

I've got a single cab toyota. I can squish in there with two car seats, but I don't do it if I don't have to.

My in-laws have a 2001 Z71 extended cab and the car seats fit in the back just fine. Has the third door, so it is much easier to get the seats in and out of. I think you'd have to get a full-size with extended cab or a medium size with qaud cab (ie ford explorer sport track, tacoma quad cab).
